It has been 110+ degrees here in Texas lately. Purchased this unit, and it has worked great, cooling the 200 sq ft area. It was not as loud as I thought it was going to be. The only issue I had was it was dented on the side from delivery. It did not affect the unit itself, just cosmetic. It has been installed for about 2 weeks, running almost non-stop. I have had no issues at this point, we shall see how long it lasts, but I am hopeful.

Perfect Fit For Narrow Space

We have 2 other window mount Frigidaire air conditioners that we have been very happy with so this choice was made with confidence. Although this model is made to fit a slider window, we installed it in a large double hung window that is partially covered by a sectional sofa. This model fit the small exposed window space perfectly and is much more effective at cooling the living room than a portable 10,000 btu model it replaced. It is a little noisier than expected and the remote does not have the remote temperature sensor that our other Frigidaire models have. Due to its narrow shape, it extends out the back side more than we would like. I would like Frigidaire to provide a window kit that makes this model a sturdier fit for a double hung window and a higher quality support bracket. Overall, we are happy with this model and expect it to be as trouble free as our other Frigidaire AC's. We also purchased a larger insulated plastic insert from our local craft store to accomodate the larger open window section of the double hung window.

We had one of these for several years, it worked fairly well. When it stopped working last year, we purchased the identical for replacement. The new one worked last year, this year it does not cool nearly at all. After spending over $600 for this unit and it now one month out of warranty, it will now be replaced with a ™whole house™ mini split. The Frigidaire unit will now be recycled. I would not recommend this unit to anyone!

This is the second Frigidaire air conditioner that I™™ve purchased. The first one that I purchased, which was just like this one but an older model, lasted me over 20 years so when when it came time to replace it, there was no question as to which brand I would get. By the way, my old conditioner still worked. It was just getting too loud next to the tv. This one is a bit pricey because it™™s for a casement window but I don™™t have any other choice. It is money well spent.

Great ac I have an open floor plan kitchen dining room and living and it cools nicely only when it's above 90° you have to put it on the highest fan setting and lowest temperature but as far as customer service a ZERO found ac at wayfair for a lower price after being told they would match it I called to check price match status and they refused to honor it definitely recommend the ac but buy from wayfair instead

I have a very hot apartment with poor insulation. The whole apartment is ~450 sq ft. I installed this unit in the living room (180ish sq ft?) and when I close all doors to other rooms, the living room gets down to 79-80 degrees (it would normally be above 90). It doesn't cool down the apartment or even the whole room the way I hoped, but it does provide a pocket of cool air in front of the unit. I'm honestly just happy to have somewhere to stand in this place to cool off.

Amazing looking and highly effective and efficient unit. Packaging was extremely durable and easy to get the appliance out of. Included everything. Window bracket for underneath for support to outside wall and also the window kit for above the unit. Window kit could be made a little bit bigger for taller windows imo as it came up 3 inches short had to fill in with kaizen foam. Also there is no drain hole in the outside bottom pan of the unit for condensation build up. So after extended periods of running the watwr builds up and actually gets flung everywhere by the fan in front of radiator. If these few flaws were fixed it would be the best air conditioner ive ever used and installed. Please take into consideration when purchasing this item if the engineers fixed these minor flaws this unit would be perfect

Terrible Customer Service! So far my experience with Frigidaire has been horrible. Ordered over a week ago, two day shipping, website says it will ship next day. A week later, 5 full business days, and it has still yet to ship. Can't get anyone on the phone and when I finally reach someone through online chat, they can't help and can only "forward" my info. Still have yet to actually speak with someone and now if I want to cancel my order they want to charge a restocking fee for an item that has yet to ship???I paid extra for the "Frigidaire" name thinking such an established company would know something about customer service, should I even run into a problem. So far, I was wrong about that...

I have had this in my cooling my bedroom suite for a little over five years. I appreciate this air-conditioning unit simply because It does what Frigidaire says it will do. During the warmer months, the unit works nonstop. During the cooler months, I still run it as a fan. The filter is very easy to clean. The timer is convenient for when I leave for the day, I can set it so when I come home, It has my bedroom at the desired temperature. The troubleshooting guide is bang on. Very happy with his purchase.

Beast of an Window AC Unit

This window air conditioner is expensive but since there are so few units designed for horizontal sliding windows and I was tired of melting during this summer, I thought I would go for it. This thing works so well that I was asking myself why I didn't purchase it last summer. It's built like a tank (and weighs like one) and it pumps out cool air in a hurry. It's located on one side of my ranch style house and it cools half the entire house (open floorplan) in 15-20 minutes. If I were to install a second unit on the opposite side of the house, I would be able to cool the entire house in no time. Don't expect a whisper-quiet machine since this thing is loud - the lower settings do help to lower the noise but regardless of the setting, it's still noisy. I would consider this a minor tradeoff for being cool during the dog days of summer. I paid a handyman to install it since the instructions are poorly written and I just didn't feel like laboring over it. You'll need another person to help lift it into the window opening.The only gripe I have is with the window insert since it's not very tall so if the height of your window opening is greater than 21.5 inches, you'll have to create an additional insert since the plastic window panel is not tall enough to fill another over this. Frigidaire really needs to offer aftermarket inserts for horizontal sliding windows since the height of horizontal slider windows can be tall and their solution just doesn't cut it. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding or making a custom insert.

I've had this AC unit for about a month. It replaced one that looked exactly like it. There have been a few improvements since 2010 when I bought the previous one. This one works well. It keeps temp in my large living room at a constant temp, within 2 degrees. I expect it will last for about 10 years and that the price will go up even more (it cost over $f400 to buy and install). It is a casement AC, the only type possible in my building. Only one business in Chicago even sells them--ABT. I am satisfied. We've just passed a very hot time here, and the AC unit did its work. I wish it was less expensive but it is not.

It's always a battle to get ACs designed for vertically opening windows to fit and work in sliding windows. I discovered the older model of this unit a couple years ago but held out on getting it. I finally gave in after I couldn't find anything else that works how I want and wish I'd just pick this one up when I first found it. Glad I got the newer model though as it's quiet and has some nice additional features. I noticed some local stores also carried it, but for a much higher cost than just ordering directly from Frigidaire. Will more than likely get another one in the future.
