Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Strike/Latch Broken after 5 uses

Michael 11/17/2019

We were able to use our Bosch warming Drawer five time before it broke. It has been sitting unused for over a year now. Looked at a friends, and the plastic latch in the back is flimsy to say the least. So we now are the proud owners of an useless piece of stainless steel. All the rest of our Bosch appliances are still working well though. Just do not buy a warming drawer.

Sliding drawer issue

New to Bosch 8/22/2019

The sliding drawer got stuck closed on first use and could not be opened. Since the power switch is behind the drawer, I removed power to the unit at the circuit breaker and eventually opened the drawer by repeatedly pushing it closed and then quickly pulling outward with some force. Given the bad reviews posted here (and elsewhere) by other Series 500 owners, this seems to be a common problem in a device that is not very robust. In my opinion, the drawer-slide problem is a design flaw.

Buyer beware

new to Bosch 8/17/2019

My beef was originally with the dealer, but on reading the reviews left by other owners of a 500 Series warming drawer, I think Bosch also owns some of the blame. The spouse updated the kitchen and opted for Bosch appliances. The warming drawer was professionally installed by the dealer (Tucson Appliance Company), and it seemed to function properly until the first time it was actually used. Long story short, the drawer stuck closed in use and couldn't be opened. I killed power to the unit at the breaker and eventually figured out that by repeatedly pushing the drawer in and then pulling outward with a bit of force it could be opened. Sometimes. Thinking that maybe the installers had left packing material under the sliding drawer, I removed that drawer and found the front panel surface was badly bent at the bottom, that the chassis bottom was creased and that a wooden shim had been tucked beneath the damaged bottom for support. We emailed the salesman a complaint with a few pics of the damage, and after a few days we were contacted with an offer to repair the damage. Given the bad reviews posted here (and elsewhere) by other Series 500 owners, and given the fact that we ordered a brand new unit--not a repaired unit--we're reluctant to accept local repairs in lieu of a brand new replacement. So, as I said, this beef started with a bad dealer, but it certainly merits mention that the Series 500 warming drawer isn't particularly sturdy, and that the drawer-slide problem might be a design issue and not completely attributable just to damaged units.

Works well, but with a critical issue.

Poor Product 6/19/2019

I have had this product and have been using it consistently for a few months now. First off, I love how this warming drawer looks. It's sleek, clean, and looks great in my kitchen. The temperature settings are great. However, the opening and closing mechanism is horrible. You need to push it to open it, and most of the time, it does not open right away, and it takes a few pushes for it to pop open. The same thing happens when you try to close it- I need to push it in a few times until it actually stays closed. The mechanism feels extremely flimsy and it seems as if it is going to break every time I use it. I fear that it will break eventually, once the item is out of warranty, and then I will be stuck with a non-functioning warming drawer, or in other words, a waste of good money. I do not recommend this product.

Slide rail broke after less than 1 year of use.

GR_NY 5/21/2019

The slide rail has cheap plastic parts in back that broke after less than one year of use. Of course, since it took 6 months between purchase and installation, it is just out of 1 year warranty. Customer service said, basically, "Sorry, you are out of luck!" Poor quality. Poor customer service.

Pizza Night Hero!

The Anderson Family 4/25/2019

We thought the warming drawer would come in handy for nights when dinner was ready, but delayed due to work. Or for the times when we entertain and need to keep food warm before serving. We hadn't thought of all the pizza nights when it's delivered and we're not quite ready to eat or want to keep it warm while eating. We use it more than we expected and it works great! Our only complaint is that the drawer doesn't sit as flush to the wall as we thought it would. It seems to stick out or have a little gap between the mounting and where the drawer rests. Not a big deal, it just doesn't look as clean.

Great Addition To Our Bosch Kitchen

RetiredinTX 7/28/2018

I decided that this was the extra that could be the most useful to us. In reading reviews, I found that, if you can, these are best located near counter-height instead at the bottom of an oven stack (near the floor). Ours was used to help fill-in the cavity of another brand's combo oven. Warming drawer uses we have found are proofing bread, keeping earlier baked items warm while baking/broiling another dish, keeping meals warm for late arrivals and recipes that call for using warmed plates or bowls. We want to experiment tenting chateaubriand with this and are looking for more ideas. This unit could use a removable sticker on the front that reads "Push Here To Open" for the novice installer. Our service provider appeared to follow procedures as he worked through the resulting issues and all have been resolved.

Door Sticks/Poor design

VikG 12/8/2017

We purchased two warming drawers less than 6months ago. We've had the service guy come out to fix one drawer twice and the second drawer repaired once. These drawers seem to be poorly designed. They should have some sort of release mechanism when the drawer gets stuck. We've always loved Bosch appliance. Had dishwasher in our old house. In the recent kitchen remodel, we got two Bosch dishwasher and gas stovetop because Bosch has been so dependable in the past.

AVOID! This warming drawer's rails always break

PushToOpenBreaks 10/9/2017

I've had this for about 6 months now. We've had the repairman out 3 times to replace the rails. The "push to open" mechanism is very flaky and can easily be damaged.
