Not even 3 years old and it has broken down to the point where it cannot be used. We are awaiting repair under extended warranty and are now on 3 weeks with one part still on back order. They estimate another 2 weeks. 5 weeks without a dryer is unacceptable especially since the machine is relatively new. LG does not seem to care too much. Why do I have an extended warranty if it cannot be repaired in a timely manner. Very disappointed.

I purchased this dryer from Home Depot on 11/23/2020 and it was installed on 12/03/2020. I paid 80.09 which included the parts required to install sales tax and $25 haul away fee for old dryer which was nearly 30 years old. Last week it stopped working. It is just shy of 3 years old and died. The repairman gave us a list of the parts needed to repair and it came to over $350 not including labor. Again for a dryer that didnt even make it three years. We are buying a new one and scrapping this LG piece of junk. Will never buy any LG appliance again.

Broke in less than 5 days of purchase

NOT so satisfied customer 10/30/2023

Broke down 5 days after purchase. Called LG lady didnt want to send a tech out threatened me that I would have to pay a fee if it wasnt the dryers fault why wouldnt it be since I replaced my old GAS dryer with this new one. Tech came out and OMG Yes it was the dryers broken gas intake valve #shocking. Took 1.5 weeks to have it fixed part in order. Drying wet clothes outside in the cold does not work fyi. Only good thing was the tech super nice guy and quick. Ps: no light in the dryer didnt realize how useful that was wish I would have double checked on that one lol.

Difficult to use comtrols

The door and drum are a nice size. The controls are difficult to use. The auto dry is actually a timed dry and the clothes are not completely dry when the dryer cycle ends. I can not determine how to change the temperature or time for this settling. I can not understand the instructions and when I try to follow them they do not work. Customer Service was also not able to help me. So I just reset the dryer when the cycle ends and the clothes are not dry enough. Eventually they do get dry

Hard to operate

Controls are hard to understand and auto dry stops before clothing is dry meaning that I need to reset and come back later. Instructions dont help and neither did customer service. The drum size is nice and the door big. In the end the clothes get dry and so it just means a few extra trips to the laundry room

Bought dryer in early August and it was fantastic Unfortunately the dryer stopped drying about a week ago - only cold air so clothes were not drying. I reached out to LG and they sent me a link to test why the dryer stopped working. I performed the test and dryer showed an error which was lack of gas. Technician is coming out next Monday to fix. LG has been very responsive have sent any possible needed parts to my house and have been contacting me.

i am not as happy with the dryer as with my new washer there are a lot of cycle settings but it seems that most could use to be longer for a full dry also i have had a problem with my sheets...i think there may be a burr or rough spot causing my sheets to have lots of pull marks...i do like how quiet the machine is

Some good some not so much. Pros: Very quiet Cons: Side opening door. You dont realize how much a downward opening door is better till its gone. One LG model had a way to operate in either direction they all need this. No interior light is a terrible cheap saving idea some very short-sighted pencil pusher came up with. Manual has almost no operational instructions just repetitious installation warnings. Auto dryness sensing is poor with mix of light and heavy fabrics ie. towels and sheets.

This is the worst dryer I have ever owned. I purchased this dryer in 2021 and I have had nothing but issues. Started off with the temperature sensor not working effectively. Then the dryer wasnt heating properly. LG suggested I have the vent cleaned out I had someone come out they cleaned it and said there was no lint in the duct. Then the gas sensor kept indicating there was something wrong with the gas. I had the gas company come out and test the pressure and it was fine. Now I am stuck with a non-functioning dryer and LG is insisting it is a gas problem and I need to call the gas company out again.

I bought this dryer and matching wash machine after research on Consumer Reports. The wash machine is the first front loading washer Ive ever purchased. The dryer has numerous selections and appears to sense the exact drying time needed. It is very quiet and the digital timer allows you to know exactly how long the drying time will be.

After a particularly bad experience with a gas dryer from a domestic U.S. manufacturer who claimed its product was dependable from day one my new replacement gas dryer was a pleasant surprise. My previous dryer would not ignite and after visits from five individual service technicians none of whom were able to correct the issue I finally gave up and purchased a new LG gas dryer. My initial impression is that it successfully ignites when heat is called for it is quiet and efficient. The controls are easy to understand and closely match those of my matching new LG front loading washer. It begins and ends its cycles with a cheery little tune that brings a smile to my face every time

The dryer works great. However when it was installed the installers did not check if the exhaust cross- section was big enough. This issue will not appear as a failure on the installation test. The dryer was consuming 2x as much gas as my 25 y.o. dryer. After thinking about it a bit I removed our 47 year old exhaust vent and replaced it with a vent with a much larger cross-section. Problem fixed. LG should specify the minimum exhaust in the installation manual. I would estimate it to be 3.5-4 inches.

Love the capacity.

Capacity is my favorite feature. Paired with the highly efficient spin cycle on the paired washer I find drying time is greatly reduced from my prior dryer. I wish this dryer had a touch up cycle for ease but can live without it. Overall have yet to realize professed cost savings only had for 2 weeks but expect this dryer will live up to professed savings.

This is a good dryer and does the job. I think the hottest setting arent super hot. I have to add time for heavy fabrics like flannels and wool socks.

The drain hose is short

We purchased this gas dryer on the advice of the salespersons recommendation by comparing its features to the gas dryer it replaced. It does not have a light on it. Thats not a big deal but we didnt realize it at the time. Ive never seen a clothes dryer without a light other than commerical dryers. I dont find using the settings is intuitive. Which is part of the problem in my inability to hit a one and done button and have my clothes perfectly dry every time. Admittedly this dryer cost less than the one it replaced cost us 20 years ago. But I didnt want something else to control with an app on my phone. Im glad LG waited until we had a chance to use it for a couple of months before requesting a review.
