This unit has completely Failed after 1 year of operation. I have called LG customer Service several times in the past 6 weeks to get the unit repaired and cannot get anywhere.
This is a Top Line unit?
LG has a complete record on this. I need Help

Overpriced piece of junk. Barely lasted to 16 months and lg chat is terrible. One would assume being the most expensive units on the market it would last longer.

I have had this purifier running nonstop in my 120 yr old basement for 2 yrs now and it works perfect The bucket needs to be emptied once a day in summer months and once a week in winter . It has drastically improved the air quality in my basement and no more moldy smell

I have owned dehumidifiers in the past that never lasted long.
The automatic defrost feature I pray will eliminate that problem.
The unit is built well quality everything fits tight.
The water storage receptacle is easy once you learn how it fits not that difficult to figure out.
Not loud for a dehumidifier is keeping my finished basement dry and free of odors.
Very happy with purchase hope it lasts many years

We used to use dehumidifiers from Frigidaire but they always broke within a year so it was time to try something new. Im very happy with the LG dehumidifier. It really pulls water out of the air and keeps our basement very dry. Weve been using it for about a month and its easy to operate. The only negative would be that the displayed current humidity on the LG is not accurate too high compared to two different room humidistats I used to check it. So I adjust the setting to account for that.

Bought a month ago and it seems to be working well. seems well made so far. Have had several other brands all looked like clones of each other all failed in 2 to 3 years dont know if thats normal or not. This is the third bran I have bought I hope it lasts longer than the others. Works well easy to use quiet and seems solidly built. Metal construction and triple sealed wires and 1 hour a day auto shut off to help prevent overheating all good features

I have one which worked 24/7 for several years flawlessly. As compared with other dehumidifiers this one is easier to empty and the bucket is much easier to clean when dirty. Of course the filter is washable..

bought in Summer of 2022 worked Ok when I went to use it this May 2023 it would freeze up and not collect water.
All its tests said it was OK lol
I believe its either a design or manufacturing defect. Only 1yr warranty so I was out of luck

Bought this in Sept 2022 and it worked great kept basement dry and fresh smelling. It was not required during the winter but was again put into service in April 2023. We noticed a very disturbing odor in the room. Eventually it was discovered to be coming from the air being emitted from the dehumidifier. Once removed the odor was no longer present we returned the machine to the place of purchase and received a refund.

I run mine continuously 23 hours a day. The auto 1 hour shutoff if very useful to prevent the overheating. Its relatively quiet compared to the other dehumidifiers and it works great at removing the moisture in the air. My basement not only feels drier but air smells cleaner. I think the included simple air filter does the job better than I expected. Overall Im satisfied with the purchase.

We recently realized the humidity in our home was greater than previous years and we needed to reduce and control it. After research and reviews we determined that the LG Puricare 50 was the correct tool so we ordered it. After running it for only a day and a half we found we could keep the humidity at any level we needed and it works perfectly. Easy to set up and use. We are extremely pleased and appreciate the quality of this product.

Have been using this every day for about 2 weeks in a very damp finished carpeted basement. Working great to pull out moisture and keeping basement dry. Damp odor gone. Only issue is that I have sometimes had a slightly difficult time removing the full bucket without splashing some water on the floor. Other than that I love this dehumidifier. Not very loud and does not generate as much heat as previous unit. I really need to try to empty it before it gets almost full. But it is a workhorse and Im not complaining.

Most of the case is steel instead of plastic. This is a well-designed and well-built machine. The quality is superior to other brands. It has worked perfectly since I received it. I chose this brand because my LG cell phone was of such high quality that it seemed unbreakable.
